Not every student gets high marks in matric. But that does not mean you cannot study further. Some universities in South Africa accept students with low APS scores. They also offer courses that are easier to pass. This helps many students who want to grow and get better jobs.
One of the easiest universities to get into is UNISA. It is a distance learning university. You do not need high marks to apply. Some Higher Certificate courses only need APS of 15. UNISA is good for students who work or live far from big cities. You study from home and write exams online or at exam centres.
Another good option is Tshwane University of Technology. They offer many diploma courses. Some of them need APS of 18 or 20. TUT has campuses in Pretoria, Soshanguve and Polokwane. They also help students with NSFAS and bursaries. Their courses in tourism, IT and business are popular.
Walter Sisulu University is also easy to enter. It is in Eastern Cape. They offer diplomas and certificates in nursing, education and agriculture. Their APS requirement is low for many courses. They also support students from rural areas. The campus is friendly and the staff help a lot.
University of Venda is in Limpopo. It is good for students in Thohoyandou and nearby towns. They offer courses in law, education and environmental science. Some courses need APS of 20 or less. UNIVEN also gives support to first year students. They have a strong focus on community upliftment.
Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein is another easy option. They offer diplomas in engineering, design and health sciences. Their APS scores are low for many courses. They also have a good pass rate. Students say the teachers explain things well and give extra help
If you want to study online, MANCOSA is a private university that accepts many students. They offer business and education courses. You do not need high APS. But you must pay fees yourself. They do not offer NSFAS. Still, many students like it because it is flexible and simple to follow.
Can I still get a good job if I go to an easy university
Yes you can. What matters is how you use your time. If you work hard and pass well, you can get good jobs. Many companies care more about your skills than your marks. Also some easy universities offer strong support and training. That helps you grow and become ready for work.Quick list of easy universities in South Africa
